What's the song at the beginning where you name yourself?

(+4)

I was just playing without looking and then suddenly I found myself in favorite detective style legendary game.

whats the song in the opening

Words not working for brain... I loved it... I hated it... I was disgusted... I was intrigued... So many emotions in just one hour, and I got killed by a fork to the neck, awesome game!

Played through it for the first time and got ending D, this was interesting. I vaguely remember playing Null all the way through a couple years ago. I have say, I kind of miss it, definitely made me think. It was intriguing, I've always liked the concept of it being a loop.

Thank you for making this ^^

Update= All reported bugs have been fixed.

Many thanks to everyone who reported them.

Please use the new updated version of the game and refrain from reporting already fixed bugs

10/10

I love everything about it so far, the wholesome moments, the sad ones too, and the messed-up ones. Lots of mystery and drama and comedy's pretty great too.

But I especially like how simple yet very creative the game rules are. really cool concept.

There isn't a single character in this game that I don't find interesting in some way. Each one of them is unique and diverse with unique dialogue and personalities.

You should mention in the game description that this game is technically a sequel and for the best experience people should play the sequel first.

I only realized this after I finished the game and went to check the other games in the series but anyway good game and I hope to see more updates in the near future. Also, can you share the music used in this game, especially the ending songs?

I like how the lyrics are depressing and sad but the music beat is uplifting and cheerful. You don't see songs like these often remind me of ''Mad World''

EDIT: Or check out this brilliant cover of the song:

I don't wanna spoil but that scene in ending D took my surprise.

I did not see it coming.

Overall I really enjoyed this game I can see a lot of hard work has been put in to it

and one of the biggest if not the biggest fan of the Zero Escape series.

I also really appreciate the fact that i can name myself whatever in the game and

that there is no limitations to the name you choose. You can choose to name

yourself the most offensive name ever and the game simply allows it.

Naming yourself a very long name also works and there are no limitations to the

name length

The game mysteries are also very intriguing but probably more enjoyed if you play

the prequel for this game which I found through the link you provided on the game page

One suggestion tho is to consider adding a Linux version for people who dont want to use windows.

Oh and the ending song of the game reminds of a very old but popular song called Down. I don't know if any zoomer even heard of it

I see some people struggling to get some of the endings.

First of all, make sure to make a SAVE at the ''first vote'' and load that SAVE every time you want to explore other endings.

Here is a walkthrough on how to get  Ending C for example ( SPOILER WARNING : Don't click '' view the rest'' if you haven't got the other endings)

So here is what to do:

1- Vote Naz out the first day

2- During the first night investigate anyone besides Carmine

3- During second day don't expose your special role

4- Investigate Carmine using your special role on the second night

if you this helped then I would appreciate if you check this youtube channel

I just finished playing it and got all the four endings after playing around with the choices and experimenting and stuff.

I couldn't help but notice how heavily it draws inspiration from Danganronpa.

The murder mysteries, the trapped characters, and the autopsy report thing. it all reminds me of the Danganronpa series. Even the characters are kind of weird and quirky like Danganronpa.

I really enjoyed this game thoug and I think any fans of Danganronpa will also have a great time.

I will check the other games in the series now. If they are similar to this game then I think I stumbled to a real treasure here.

A final thought I see some people confused about the engine used here. its a modded version of the Unity engine, you can see it here

I don't see the Danaganronpa comparison honestly.

The only thing the two games share it the concept of being locked up in a school which I won't say is enough to warrant the comparison.

If I have to compare this game to something it would be 999: nine person, nine doors , nine hours if I'm remembering the name correctly

It's a pretty old game on the nintendo 3DS system but it's the closest thing I played to this game

The heroine in that game even reminds me of the heroine in this game

Their sprites look different though

Guessed right on 1st try. Ending D
Was able to find Ending B and A afterwards.
Game is softlocking (chat hangs) before the second night when [redacted] is guessing [redacted]'s special role, but only if you choose Happiness at the start.

I got all endings ( including ending C) and I had no bugs or anything.

Check my comment above. I have explained a very easy way to achieve all endings without needing to replay or skip read text.

It's not really that complicated especially with the skip button but my method would save you even more time.

I also want to know what kind of engine you used to create this game.

I don't think this is Renpy because I played a lot of visual novels created in Renpy and they have a certain aesthetic to them, but I also don't think this visual novel was created in Unity or Construct.

I'm actually interested in the engine name if you don't mind sharing it because it looks neat and unique looking. I'm also kind of a freak when it comes down to game engine since it's my hobby so whenever I find a new engine I just have to know its name.

If I have to guess but based on the UI used in this game and the way the game is scripted, I will say it was created in Gamemaker engine. You can the similarities very clearly in this vid but then again, I could be wrong.

Tyrano Builder (they said in prequel)

(15 edits)

I doubt it's Tyrano Builder.

Even though I have never heard of this engine before from what I read right now on Google it seems like this is a Japanese engine that was created back in the day and didn't have English support

So unless the dev is Japanese which I somehow doubt I don't think they are using Tyrano Builder.

If this isn't a GameMaker engine, my second guess would be the Monogatari Visual Novel engine.

This engine is also Japanese sure but it has official English support and I've seen many people in the West use it to make visual novels.

Of course I could be wrong but after watching this overview I'm 80 percent sure its the monogatari engine or a variant of it

or it could be godot:

Maybe it got an english patch afterwards. After a look into the game files, I would also guess it's Tyrano Builder, with this one file found: Purpose_tyrano_data.sav

what engine is this made on

Tyrano Builder (they said in prequel)

I am almost sure the engine used is tyranoscript

Another proof
